Piano

I'm trying to get back into playing the piano. I took lessons for ten years, but when I moved away from home I stopped playing, since the old baby grand in our living room at home was really the only piano I felt comfortable playing on. Today I printed off sheet music for two songs I really like.
One is Chopin's Nocturne in C sharp minor, as featured in The Pianist, and the other is Satie's Gnossienne #1, as featured in The Painted Veil. You can listen to them here and here if you're interested.
Now I just need to find a piano to play them on...

beautiful music.

did you take that picture of the piano?

Unfortunately, I don't have enough vintage-y uprights in my life, so no, I didn't take the picture.

Now you know what to ask for for the next 15 Christmases!

Go to the Shingle House or Ravenclaw! I'm sure they'd love to have you come practice. And Ravenclaw has a baby grand. It's great.

reyna I did go next door to the shingle house one day, but then eric walked in and I got shy since he's like AMAZING on the piano, and I started to leave, and he said "heavens to betsy, girl, get back in here and play me a song!" which just made me laugh.
anyway, maybe I can go over there again when no one is around...
