Marrakesh? Marrakech?

The other day I got an email from Gwyneth Paltrow (yes, Pip, always the best of friends) telling me to go to Morocco and see Marrakesh, though I didn't need her to convince me. Morocco has been in my travel plans for ages. You can read the newsletter here (http://goop.com/newsletter/61/en/). But doesn't it just seem amazing? I would love to go to North Africa. I love the architecture and I think it would be quite the experience to spend some time at a market there, not to mention the potential photographic opportunities.

P.S. Firefox is broken on my computer and I can't tell you how much I miss it so. Safari is stupid and Chrome is confusing.

haha jk
The pictures are really beautiful.
I want to go there, too, but sometimes I wonder if it's like Cancun... too touristy and Disneylandish. Of course, I've never been there, and there may be many great neighborhoods and markets not filled with identical knick knacks in every stall.

I feel so horrible saying what I just said, but I feel it, so I said it.

See, I need to go there so I can be proven wrong! And then I'll also need to go to a bunch of other places in that area.

I feel like not many people have been to Morocco recently. I feel like people are afraid to go to North Africa for whatever reason. I could be wrong, but if I'm right, then I'm glad, because I prefer the unadulterated version of cultures. Of course, with today's globalization, that's difficult to find.
But I'm still going some day. :)
