Even if marriage isn't something I or you or anyone is worried about, the principle can be applied to anything. Happiness, mainly, I think. Just be happy, because it's going to be okay eventually. Don't worry about it, just let it be!
Under the Tuscan Sun is one of my favorite movies because it really lifts your spirits, even if it is a little cheesy at times (not to mention the fact that she basically is living my dream in the movie). This is the message I'm talking about that it gives:

The thing I like about this is the fact that she gets all this (sometimes useless) advice (often from this same woman) but this is the only one that is really useful, even though it sounds useless: Just live your life. Do the best you can and try not to worry about the things you can't change.
I also need to stop worrying about the things I can't change. I try to make the above my philosophy when there are things stressing me out (I mean long term, I reserve my right to stress about anything I want in the short term).
The funny thing (or the sad thing) is, I seem to keep learning this concept (live your life, etc) over and over. It's cos it's a constant struggle to maintain that perspective. The unimportant things loom up and threaten to take control, and then we hear a profound bit of dialogue from a movie or read a passage in a book or have a conversation, and suddenly we remember: Right, time to let those things go and start living the way I know I should.
